Politiquera?
In all my years, I have never seen a group arise as efficiently and dominantly as Cheezmeh did. This group was led by credible and dedicated community members who sought change, rather than corruption. Those involved were the likes of Jim Barton, Nena Barton, Bee Quintanilla, Mary Helen Flores, Zeke Silva, and many others. This powerhouse group led to the election of Jessica Tetreau, and the widespread of a new political movement.
Today, things have changed and this group is not what it once was an ha become exactly what it set out to destroy. The corruption in Brownsville has only grown, and pathetically the membership of Cheezmeh has only fallen. This group which was once about the people and the betterment of the community is now simply about it's leader and what is most beneficial to him personally. Now, you cannot go a day without seeing a pro-Erin post about how great she is and how under qualified Yolanda Begum is. Yes, Yolanda Begum has a strong Spanish accent. However, the difference between herself and Erin is that she has actually sincere interest and no motivation to corrupt our community. She may not be the best speaker but I'll take the more sincere individual any day out of the week. So, to all of you who still love cheezmeh, know you are essentially supporting a Politiquera with no regard for the future of this community.
Now, those individuals that led the Cheezmeh group are gone, and the ego of its leader ha only grown. This group is nothing anymore, and represents te main issue in Brownsville and Cameron County. The simple ability to buy off people for the success of an unqualified, insincere, and tasteless political candidate. So now in the famous ending of the Cheezmeh leader, peace...

Erasmo admitted in wanting to run for office to a professor from UTB-TSC. It's obvious he's trying to get his foot in the door.
ReplyDeleteCheezmeh is a farse. To that I agree 100%. I will not be voting for either Begum or Erin. But what is clear in your post is you are not about the truth. The truth is Begum has zero qualifications to be a JP. She is not classy by any stretch of the imagination. She has played a very unethical campaign. No one with class would have allowed her you would know that if you cared about the truth. CAVA is bought and paid for by Alex Begum. Yolanda and her son Alex used this very serious issue of politiqueras to create a distraction from the fact she is not qualified at any level. It was a con job from day one. To date there is only evidence of wrongdoing against one of the two. It was Begum's poll watcher who illegally released early voting information. Now the eyewitnesses have Yolanda working the mail ballots at a senior citizen center. How nice of Yolanda to feed these people so long as she can solicit their mail ballots at the same time. She is lucky she did not play this game on my mother because I would have sought a restraining order against her doing it again. My mother's vote is not for sale for a plate full of food. How can you call that classy? Erin is clearly not clean. As another blogger pointed out she defended her father's theft of mail ballots. She needs to be held accountable for this. But to suggest Yolanda is classy and honest makes you a fool. No one interested in the truth is defending CAVA. It was a con set up by Alex Begum to get people focused on the mail ballots instead of the fact his mother Yolanda has zero qualifications. I hope someone told her that it is illegal to conduct hearings in Spanish without a translator. Our courts are public and must be conducted in English while providing the parties translators if needed. Yolanda might want to have her son check the rules. It will be considered a violation of the rules of judicial conduct for Yolanda to conduct any hearings in Spanish. They must be in English with a translator provided to any parties who may need one. For the record, no one cares about her accent. We simply want to make sure our judges follow the law and conduct all hearings in English only.
ReplyDeleteSensational points anonymous, the way I look at the JP race is picking the lesser of two evils. The Hernandez family has reigned terror on the county for years, and I would only pick Yolanda Begum because I have met her and have encountered a positive person. However, when ive been around Erin (about 4 times) she is constantly jumping from conversation to conversation, abruptly interrupts you, and does not sound the least bit intelligent when she speaks. Yolanda has a strong accent, has a decent vocabulary, carries a conversation, and doesn't seem like a person with bad intentions however that is all unknown because that seldom does not occur behind closed doors. I agree with you, both of these candidates stink. Neither is qualified for this positron ethically, morally, or professionally. What a shame nobody ran against them, because now we're stuck with one of the two no matter what! My main point in the article is that cheezmeh is a farse exactly how you said it. And Troll-Y-Bus, it's always about him and how he can succeed in the long run!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the Cheezmeh group. Everyone I talk to whose friends with them only mentions their stupid arguments between Brownsville folk about some aspect of daily life. They never say oh I'm gonna vote for this lady because Erasmo said so. People just go there for the drama. I'm glad I left the group. I really don't give a rat's ass who's gonna win the JP race. Makes no difference to me. Just two groups of people fighting to get their candidate in office to get personal favors. That's why they're so passionate about it. I'm more interested in the Democratic runoff election for CD 34. That's the main reason I'm going to vote in July.

ReplyDeleteErasmo, you need to find the truth! Selling out is not the solution is it? You've been BOUGHT! Every man has a price! What was yours? Let people find out Erin paid you off, and so have others! You changed Erasmo, the old Erasmo would not have sold out. Yes this is the Brownsville Truth where we DON'T SELL OUT like Cheezmeh did. We're not a POLITIQUERA. I'm a person with actual sincere intentions unlike yourself. You know going after Jim and Zeke isn't very big of you. They actually do things for the community and want to better it. You only hurt it, and you really are becoming what you once sought to destroy Erasmo. The truth is you and your group are grade A sell outs! AND THAT'S THE TRUTH!

ReplyDeleteLook, why stoop to all these other's people's low? I applaud people starting new blogs and or Facebook pages, if they do their own thing. I learned this the hard way when we were hating on Brownsville Raza...
My humble suggestion, do your own thing... be a service to the community gather a following of people and get them involved... but to get all my haters and detractors in my opinion, is not the way to go...
Your blog's name is Brownsville Truth... then, to your own self be true...
